State of the Art Meets State of What's Next
2024 was a challenging year for Boeing, but it also opened the door to new opportunities for the brand. The Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany—a leading event focused on the future of passenger experience—offered a critical platform. Traditionally a stage for unveiling their latest innovations in air travel, this year Boeing's presence required more than just showcasing aircraft. It was a moment to engage, to listen, and to collaborate with industry leaders shaping the future of flight.

2024 was a challenging time for Boeing, but it also created opportunity for the brand. The Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg Germany is a premier event where the future of passenger experience is discussed. Traditionally, this is an opportunity to showcase their latest and greatest explorations for the future of air travel. This year Boeing didn't just need to bring their planes, but needed to listen to industry leaders who would help craft the future of flight.
Full-Size Fuselages
VIPs stepped into a bright, serene space featuring three full-scale fuselage mockups, each designed as an immersive presentation area. Guests could stand or sit as Boeing presenters highlighted the latest advancements in cabin customization, overhead storage, and more. At the front of each mockup, massive LED screens visually extended the aircraft, allowing presenters to showcase the full scope of the plane’s interior experience.

Center of Attention
The space took up nearly an entire floor of the convention center, and was divided into thirds. The central display introduced attendees to the Boeing-dominated floor. All attendees had access to this space which housed meeting rooms, an intimate 20-person interactive theatre, and open demonstrations where guests were able to explore a lab-like envrionment highlighting Boeings efforts in sustainability, accessibility, and passenger experience.
Boeing Owns the Sky
The center space was designed to be open and transparent with promise of the future. A metal lattice structure defined the space and was integrated within centimeters of the building architecture. Around the lattice is an LED mesh displaying time passing across a digital sky. The lattice frames a high-resolution LED display that welcomes guests to the Boeing space as they ascend the escalator. All of this media was complimented by a serene, custom composed soundtrack that began to brand the space before guests ever see a Boeing logo.

Hospitality in Every Detail
The last of the three spaces was a hospitality bar serving espresso, beer, and champagne for VIP guests. Strategic use of lighting and translucent fabric connect hospitality with the main stand, creating a stark contrast between them and the center stand. Throughout hospitality are continued details connecting to Boeing's sustainability initiatives — countertops made from recycled pastic, furniture made from coffee grounds, and touches of local greenery that emit a unique Boeing scent.
